It's interesting to me how disturbing I find the images of dead animals. Yet, were the animals alive, it would be fine. It's a photograph; it shouldn't matter. Somehow, though, it does.
Kate, you may have pointed out a central point of these works: the ambiguity of the living and the dead animals. As far as I know, the dog (her dog) is alive and only the other animals are taxidermied species.
